My 1999 BMW 328i 4 door locks are not working properly. First, the key will not manually lock/unlock the doors. Second, the remote key will lock/unlock the doors, but within seconds, the car relockes itself. hi , My e36 convertible roof needed further help to open by pushing it. It was all a bit slack in movement and a bit slow. Took it to BMW who said it would cost £3000 (english pounds) . I then took it to a random roof specilist who replaced the straps for £300 all in. He did advise me to not ajust it to much as it may put pressure on the motors.
