Posted March 9, 2005. C3 1.4i SX Sensodrive re clutch judder/snatch. Seems Ok since last update to computer. (It seemed to occur if car was left standing, unused, for 3/4 days) Managed to 'kerb' n/side front wheel, dinging outer edge of rim. To dealer for replacement rim & geometry check.
Citroen C2/C3 SensoDrive Gearbox ECU Repair. Failure in the SensoDrive gearbox ECU is something of a recurring problem with C2s and C3s built between 2003 – 2011. When the unit starts to go, issues become apparent, such as being unable to select gears properly. This could in turn prevent the engine from starting.
Google: "How to repair clutch actuator on Citroen C3"; look for the 4th video Pete's Workshop and then Google: "Citroen C2 EP 6 Sensodrive calibration" - this is a long video! It turned out to be a battery problem - eventually proved on Take 11 at around 14 minutes!
The Citroen C3 1.6 Exclusive has High seats and comfortable to drive. Front Window bars to thick on roundabouts can block out whole cars. Poor gear exchange in 1st to Auto. Bad follow up on problems. Really sorry I bought this car before I'd read other peoples comments.
